The Tenjuan garden is one of the most beautiful gardens I have seen. Though small, it is lush and verdant even in winter. The trees reflecting off the still green water are spectacular, and the koi are gorgeous. The paths are well-maintained. While it doesn't take long to walk through, you will want to stay a little longer to enjoy the tranquil views.

One of the most magical gardens I’ve ever visited. Pictures speak for themselves. The energy here is very calming and just a beautifully peaceful place. Garden is cash only so be sure to bring cash!

Tenjuan Garden is still somewhat of a hidden gem due to its location, but it definitely deserves a spot on everyone’s list. The garden is small yet incredibly picturesque and beautiful. The path is well-maintained, making it easy to navigate. It won’t take long to explore the entire garden, so take your time to soak in the calm, peaceful atmosphere and enjoy the stunning views of the koi pond and surrounding trees. (Ticket: 500 yen)

One of my favourite places we visited during our Japan trip. We went on a rainy day, so it was really quiet. The garden is beautiful and was our highlight. Highly recommended.

Garden was sublime. Much beauty and delight packed into each twist and turn of the path. Because the garden is small, it can feel crowded along the paths even with fewer visitors. One point of confusion - our elementary aged child was charged admissions despite the sign in English indicating that only adults, high school, and junior high students are charged fees. Upon research later on, I came across info indicating that elementary school aged children are also charged. If so, the English on the admissions sign should be corrected for clarity.
