I love this mall so very much! Went there 4 times during my visit lol Boutique style mall where you can meet curated brands and items. I personally got some items for myself and friends :)

Am I mall kinda girl? No. But BAL Kyoto? Yes, a thousand times over. Class, style, space, a sense of place (and peace) and did I mention English books? Time and again they host events too. I’d buy that much too expensive lovely pink velvet sofa one day. So many pretty memories here, itsumo arigato.

Kyoto BAL is an elegant, upmarket shopping mall that offers a refined shopping experience. We didn’t do much shopping but checked out the two-level bookshop in the basement. Nice touch that they provide chairs for you to sit while browsing through some books. Bought a basic conversational Japanese book here.

City Center, Kyoto Posh and elegant shopping center with boutiques and specialist shops retailing upmarket items from kitchenwares and clothing to books and food. A good spot to browse for gift ideas or buy merchandise made only for the Japanese market for exclusivity back home. Lovely atmosphere for a coffee or catch-up over a meal.
