29-4 Yoshidashimoojicho, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto, 606-8314, Japan
Had a hearty veg Buddha bowl, which was super tasty and more filling than expected. The Mongol pan is also immensely delicious. It's a nice cozy place with the sweetest owners and it has a swing for one of it's seats!!! The atmosphere is relaxed, perfect for the winter night that we were here. They have a good Asian fusion menu that's vegan friendly. They range from the more standard Japanese sets, curry, Korean dishes, among others. They also seem to be selling a few goods. Probably not a place for quick service. Seats about 8 or so people.
Really lovely food, including a Monpan toasted wrap (vegan) and vegan mapo tofu (best we've had in Japan so far). Warm and welcoming ambiance and service. Very good value!
Great vegan Mongolian sandwich, owner/waitress knows what vegan vs vegetarian is :) she sells cute knit wear as well. Definitely try it out, really good prices!
Loved the sandwich, delicious hot meal on a cold day, and amazing selection for vegans!
Feels like a good movie, tiny place, as if you were eating at the owner’s place. The tempeh monpan was divine, everything was fresh and cooked by the minute, the homemade hot cola was a great experiment (I don’t like Coca Cola but this is something different) English menu and order taker. Magical little place that I will dream about when I will be back home
