Hotel Kuu Kyoto, 58 Shokuyacho, Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto, 600-8158, Japan
We stayed for four nights. Personnel was super nice, kind, and ready to help! Room for two had everything we needed and more! Very clean everywhere and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was varied and abundant. Location was perfect for public transportation! We will recommend it to our family and friends. Ángela & Luis.
We stayed at the Hotel Kuu for five nights with a family of five (2 adults with three teens). The room was very spacious with ample room for all. Our room was on the fifth floor overlooking the Temple across the street. It is about a 7 minute walk from Kyoto Station and has a number of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The hotel offers a complimentary bus service on specified days to local temples and attractions, users, taxis and public buses are also readily available. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and more than willing to assist with any questions. If we had the opportunity we would have extended our stay here. Would definayely recommend to families with young and teen kids.
My stay at Hotel Kuu Kyoto was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome—every interaction was kind, thoughtful, and helpful, whether it was assisting with directions, offering local recommendations, or simply checking in to ensure I had everything I needed. The room itself was a perfect blend of comfort and simplicity. It was spotless, well-appointed, and designed with a calming, minimalist aesthetic that truly enhanced the Kyoto experience. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the little touches—like high-quality amenities, a quiet atmosphere, and an efficient layout that made the most of the space. The location is also excellent—peaceful, yet conveniently close to Kyoto Station and several attractions. Hotel Kuu Kyoto isn’t just a place to stay; it’s part of what made my time in Kyoto so memorable. If you’re looking for a serene, clean, and welcoming hotel with outstanding service, look no further. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip!
The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 5 nights and explored the city from here. It is conveniently located to Kyoto station and bus and subway lines. The public baths are both great for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The room was spotless with great amenities and comfortable beds. We would highly recommend Hotel Kuu.
This hotel is wonderful! The staff is what makes staying here exceptional though! Not only is it a beautiful hotel but they provide wonderfully generous services at no cost to guests. For example, we just got back from a delightful mini field trip to see summer fireflies lighting up a local river pass, and we were shuttled there to and from in a vintage bus. The guides were sweet and informative and patient and I think it’s so special that they offered that. Additionally, it’s a great way to make new friends on the bus ride! And they also offer free shuttle services to popular destinations if you reserve in advance. This hotel rocks! Oh and not to mention they have an onsen too! What more could you ask for!
