Fantastic selection of beers brewed on the premises. The owner is super enthusiastic about craft ale and associated beer. It was very nice to find a proprietor so excited about their business

We wanted to check out Japanese beer scene and Kyoto Beer Lab did deliver. It's a small, cozy place in a pretty neighborhood of central Kyoto. They have friendly staff and eight taps, with some flamboyant descriptions. Actually same goes for their chalkboard that instead of your typical list of beers with some descriptions features little, chalky works of art. While generally in Japan you get their weak pils, if you're beer fan, you can rest assured, there are places for you there. PS. Japan strawberries are insane.

Awesome location, great and friendly staff! Loved the Chabeer and they have really nice hops on tap. Staff have great english as well. I believe they have events regularly too, so you can keep an eye out for that

Great little bar with a fun concept! The beers are tasty, the food is good (with vegan/veggie options) and the staff is super nice. Was a great evening here!

Amazing beer. The first craft brewery I've come across in Japan so far. Unlike in Canada it seems all I see is the large alcohol companies so this was a cool change. Delicious beer. Amazing karaage. Friendly and welcoming staff. Cozy little spot with only bar stools and some standing outside. A great stop if like me you finished waking through Nishi Hongan-ji, Higashi Hongan-ji and the Shosein Garden! Also some nice merch for sale
