Japan, 〒162-0825 Tokyo, Shinjuku City, Kagurazaka, 6-chōme−65 アミシュマン神楽坂 2F
By far the best cake shop in Tokyo. The delicious smell hits you right when you enter, and you never want to leave. The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. There is a variety of magazines you can browse. You can't go wrong with any of their desserts, and I especially recommend the amazing hot chocolate! It's very small and can be easy to miss from outside, so be careful.
I went to three different Patisseries in Kagurazaka and this was easily the best one. I tried the Chocolat Praline and Tartelette aux Fraises which were both amazing. Each dessert had multiple layers of different texture and taste that went together very well. Their desserts are also very sweet.
We came by years ago late at night on a whim to try it out as it was recommended on our friend's itinerary. What a great decision as this charming little place houses the most delicious pastries. We also tried some wonderful teas that made this experience so much more memorable. The owner is very friendly and attentive. Today we came back again and will continue to do so the next time we visit Tokyo.

Very popular cake shop in the area. All the sweets looked so good. When you order the teas they give you a little pot of tea, so I was able to keep my tea warm while I studied a bit. It is a little pricey, but still good if you are in the mood for a little treat. There are only a few tables on the inside, and two tables on the outside, so you may have to wait for a seat if they are especially busy. Credit cards are accepted here as well so super convenient.
