I love the artist herself, and the exhibition tells you her dark and bright side of life and artworks. Actually I have never seen her young age arts and actively pictures when she was in Manhattan which impressed me. Her entire life dedicated to art. That is the reason for four starts. However, for those who are pregnant or old, it is hard to go up steep stairs. As the elevator is only one, you need to wait to go up and down for a while, better to be aware of it before you visit. Photography is allowed only in the rooftop. It took me only 40 minutes as it’s a small museum. All tickets are sold online and no tickets are sold at the place.

Comprehensive for Yayoi Art piece and history. There's 4 floors. Small souvenir shop at reception on ground floor. While 2nd and 3rd show art piece and installation but no photo allow and giantic pumpkin at 4th. Recommend to buy tickets online and in advance.

Not a big museum, but the price also reflects that so it’s totally worth it. We spent a total of 30mins there. Very unique to be able to see Kusama’s early works, haven’t seen those anywhere else in the world and it’s also what I was most interested in - to see her development as an artist beyond her most famous pieces. This exhibition also had paintings from 2025 so I loves seeing her journey from the 1950s until today. One of the rooms was interactive, you could place stickers on the exhibit and take photos in that room, not elsewhere in the museum.

The museum is beautiful. It explains Yayoi Kusama’s story very well. However, the museum is rather small considering the extensive work she has. Need to buy tickets in advance and took us about 70 minutes to cover at an easy pace.
