Our weekends are best spent visiting hidden cafes in Kuala Lumpur, escaping to a laid-back glamping spot near the city, or planning a staycation with your family. If there's another thing we love to do, that would be snapping photos at the newest Instagram spots in Kuala Lumpur! Want to freshen up your Instagram feed? Let's check out these places!

1. The Stories Of Taman Tunku, Bukit Tunku

The Stories Of Taman Tunku is a new retail and business centre that's quickly becoming the talk of the town. Situated in the heart of Taman Tunku, more people have taken notice of the massive mural of a well-stock bookshelf complete familiar reads from Harry Potter to Stephenie Meyer. You'll stumble upon this mural when you make your way to Kenny Hills Bakers, known for their Nutella croissants and other pastries.

2. Elmina Iconic Bridge, Shah Alam

Somewhere over Elmina Valley Park in Shah Alam, there's a rainbow walkway where Instagrammers would go for a quick snapshot. Called the Elmina Iconic Bridge, it does look like a mega-size rainbow slinky from our younger days if you position your smartphone from a lower angle. Whichever way you decide to get creative, it will definitely add a pop of colour to your Instagram feed.

3. KLoe Hotel, Bukit Bintang

There's a reason why KLoe Hotel in KL is the trendiest staycation spot. Situated in Bukit Bintang, this boutique hotel certainly has style and aesthetics on their side and you can see it the moment you step into the lobby and rooms.

Out of the 80 rooms available in this hotel, their themed Artist Lofts are the prettiest and named after everyone's favourite way of indulgence: Room to Listen, Room to Read, Room to Draw, Room to Grow, and Room to Taste. If you're planning to book a stay in their Insta-worthy Artist Lofts, the rate starts at RM490 per night on their website.

4. REXKL, Kuala Lumpur

Before REXKL became the bustling arts and culture centre that it is known today, it was an old cinema rebuilt by the Shaw Brothers in 1976. Today, it had been revitalised with hanging light bulbs, clean structures and upgraded facilities. Situated on Jalan Sultan, take a step further by using the natural light that streams through the entrance to capture an unforgettable photo in honour of old KL.

5. River Of Life, Masjid Jamek

The River Of Life may be known as one of the world's top waterfront districts, but you can also find many beautiful murals along the Klang River. Weaving stories and cultures that make up the bustling Kuala Lumpur, it's a great place to take a photo before standing back to wonder how long it took to paint it all.

6. Momo's Kuala Lumpur

If you're planning a staycation in Chow Kit, let it be Momo's Kuala Lumpur. The newest Instagram-worthy boutique hotel that is adorned with minimal aesthetics and soft shades of pink, you'll love taking photos at the entrance in the midst of the hustle and bustle in this historical neighbourhood.

7. Pusat Sains Negara, Kuala Lumpur

Pusat Sains Negara (National Science Centre) has changed a lot since we were kids and today, it's steadily becoming one of the newest Instagram-worthy spots in KL. Situated in Bukit Kiara, the renovation actually took place in 2016 before Instagrammers decide to get creative with the rainbow-coloured display that surrounds the exterior of the science centre.

8. Saloma Link Bridge

Opened in early February 2020, the Saloma Link Bridge is another Instagram-worthy spot! This bridge links Kampung Baru to KLCC and it'll only take you less than ten minutes to go between these two places. To reach this bridge, align at Kampung Baru LRT Station if you're from this side but if you're from KLCC, walk pass Public Bank, turn right into Jalan Saloma and you'll see NZ Curry House. From there, walk straight and you'll see the majestic bridge. Come over here at night to experience the beautiful lights against the night sky!
