Simple but authentic. A small local Indian and Pakistani restaurant on the 6th Floor inside Chunking Mansions. Nothing fancy about the decor but the food was delicious and came in a generous serving. You can’t get much more authentic than this. I had a (huge) serving of tandoori Chicken Biryani which came with a salad on this side, a tasty mango lassi, and a chapatti. Total cost $108 HK dollars.

The food is amazing for sure, no doubt about that. But the restaurant has some important problems that I've tried to mention here:

1. The main problem is that the restaurant doesn't have enough seats, and it's usually very crowded. So if you go after 7pm you need to expect waiting for an hour outside the restaurant in extreme heat and smoke! and when you finally go in, you may have to share the table with someone else. Also the food can take more than half an hour to be prepared so badically most of the times you have to dedicate more than two hours for just a dinner. There have been many times that I went so far just to go to this restaurant, because I simply love their food, but couldn't go in because it was too crowded. Also the restaurant doesn't have good air conditioning which is not very good for summer.

2. Another problem is that the prices are really high considering the place. You have to expect paying at least 110$ for a normal meal, which is quite high for this kind of restaurant. Another thing is that they charge a bit more than 10% service charge which is kind of rediculous considering the place. Also they only accept cash, probably because they don't want to pay tax, which is again inconsistent with their high prices. Once, the owner literally made me walk a few blocks after I finished my food to get cash from the ATM, because they didn't accept anything else, like octopus, credit card, alipay, FPS,...!

3. Also the restaurant is absolutely not clean, so make sure you're ok with that!

Anyway if you're ok with the not so clean environment of the restaurant and willing to spend 2 hours outside and inside the restaurant without aircon and willing to pay around twice as what the food is actually worth, it is a good option for you!

If you end up going there though, make sure to:

1. Have enough cash!
2. Try the signature chicken tandoori, known as the full chicken (for two people)
3. Try the garlic naan (one should be enough for one person, or maybe two if you eat a lot!)
4. Try the mutton Korma (for one person)

It has the best Indian/Pakistani food in Hong Kong (hands down). Their Charga (full roasted chicken) is a must but other chicken and mutton dishes are simply superb.
It's a local restaurant inside Chunking Mansion and the service will be similar to a small shop (you will have to wait for your order for 30-45 minutes) but it is worth! They only accept cash (not even Octopus).

One of the best Pak/Indian food in terms of taste I have ever tried in Hong Kong. I visited there twice a month usually and tried more than 10 different dishes already and every time, the taste is just same and delicious. The place is kid friendly and easily accessable for wheel chair also. I would recommend to place your order before visiting the restaurant so you will not have to wait for the food. Same for the delivery. Veg options are also available. Should recommend Chicken Tikka, biryani was not good though. Long waiting time.

Went to have full chicken, and very satisfied. Only problem is the place is hard to find and not furnished well for modern days restaurant. If you don't care about heat or looks, it's a perfect place to dine out. Don't visit during holidays or weekend,  it's crowded and may have to wait about 30mins to 1hrs.
