Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong
A serene oasis with a vibrant bird population Kowloon Park Bird Lake is a hidden gem within the bustling city of Hong Kong. The tranquil lake is surrounded by lush greenery, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The most striking feature of the lake is the large flock of flamingos that gather along its shores. These beautiful birds add a splash of color and life to the park, making it a popular attraction for visitors. The lake is also home to a variety of other bird species, including ducks, geese, and swans. Visitors can enjoy watching these birds from the many benches and walkways around the lake. There are also several feeding stations where visitors can interact with the birds. The park is well-maintained and clean, making it a pleasant place to spend an afternoon. There are also several restaurants and cafes nearby, so visitors can enjoy a meal or a drink after their visit to the lake. Overall, I highly recommend Kowloon Park Bird Lake to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing escape from the city. It's a beautiful and tranquil place with a wide variety of birdlife to enjoy.
Oasis within a concrete jungle, kind of like a Hong Kong version of NY Central Park. People of all ages will find their way to enjoy this gem.
Any bird lovers out there? Do not forget to check out this place situated in the middle of the park. There are probably tenths of flamingos for you to be ready to mingle.
We took a walk to the Bird Lake to see the flamingoes. It’s amazing that there is a bird enclosure in the middle of a city.. and best of all, it was absolutely free!
This area of the Kowloon park is lovely and full of flamingos. The aviary is worth a visit too, they have a great selection of birds, now I don't like birds in cages but at least they all look healthy and well taken care of here.
