G/F, Chungking Mansion, 36-44 Nathan road Shop no. 19-20, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong
Lots of choices!! I had masala chicken dosa Which is full of flavour and very nice curry sauce for dipping The masala tea is extraordinary!! This is the amount of spice i wish for, I can say it’s the best I had so far in Hong Kong ? not gonna drink masala chai in coffee shops anymore ? Next time I’ll be back for more. Especially dessert Everyone is super friendly here~ Update: Brought my friend this time Idly set highly recommended It’s a rice cake, for the set you get 2 steam ones and a fried one ? My friend ordered curry fish ? Never order fish or seafood in this kind of shop. Go for chicken and mutton for sure. Didn’t stop him so he will learn the lesson ?
Friendly service, extensive menu (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian) and okay seating. Mostly clean, but being in Chungking it's obviously not gonna be the best though. Great chai, and the dosas and fried foods are lovely too. Reasonably priced food, and no seating limit so it's a good place to have a chat or do some work if you're stuck in TST and on a budget.
Highly recommended 26.01.2025 Amazingly authentic Karaikudi chettinadu restaurant in Hongkong. Must try place for people craving chettinadu food. Akka and her team is very friendly and welcoming. Veg options available as well. Place looks a lil scary but the team is really hospitable. Dont expect a hifi place or restaurant, it is a typical local type place and restaurant. We had all the following, 1) kalakki 2) dosas, masala , onion 3) podi idli 4) masala dosa 5) mutton / chicken dosa 6) kothu Porotta
I came in Chung King Mansion to get some currency exchanged and luckily found this gem of a restaurant! They some of THE BEST authentic Indian food! I stayed for a week in Hong Kong and found reasons to return here every chance I got during my busy schedule! The food is delicious and prepared with passion, the staff is hard working and pleasant. They serve clean food and utensils with a smile! The food is quite reasonably priced for the quantity served. My personal favorites: Their Tomato Uttapam and Indian filtered coffee! Ask for Mr. Mani, he knows his stuff!
