Japan, 〒601-8002 Kyoto, Minami Ward, Higashikujo Nishisannocho, 47 Kamitonodacho
Great location right in front of the central station. The hotel is well-maintained. The standard rooms are tiny (as always in Japan). We had two suitcases, so I decided to upgrade to the one with the queen bed. If you're light on luggage, you'll probably be fine with the standard one. Very inconvenient breakfast times: last entry is at 8:45 AM. At 9 AM sharp the staff is keen to escort you out in a firm manner. The breakfast itself is quite good. The reception is on the third floor, which means the elevators between 3rd and the ground level might be occupied if there's a large group about to check in. I had to get a toilet brush from Donki because apparently these are not standard bathroom equipment for whatever reason.
The hotel is in great location, just steps away from central station. The reception team were all very friendly, special thanks to Reona which was very helpful with our check in and explaining everything and we had another person upon our arrival that helped us with our luggage and initial details which is so kind we couldn’t get the name but a special thanks to the person also. Anyway the whole reception team is polite and helpful. The room, we were able to get the queen room which is a little more spacious than the others and we really recommend it, is very comfortable and spacious, all clean. The hotel breakfast is excellent and has a lot of different and variety of food, dishes. The hotel also is in the walkable distance from main station, also other public transports, to go around and explore the city tourist attractions is easy and convenient. Overall I would stay and recommend staying at the hotel.
You are right across from the Kyoto main train station about a 2 minute walk. Easy to access and check in. Rooms are priced in the mid range. Staff are super friendly and helpful. You can store your bags with ease and no extra charge. Check in was super easy. Multi languages available from the staff to be able to communicate in English and others as required. Room clean and a decent size. Highly recommend this property to stay at whilst in Kyoto.
Ibis Styles Kyoto station is literally in front of the station. We could see it from our train when we arrived. It took about 30 sec walk from the station exit to the hotel entrance. The rooms have great soundproofing and to our surprise we could hear any noise of trains or buses in the room - this was really a pleasant surprise. Staff at this hotel is amazing - always smiling and always helpful. When we checked in, we had a problem with our room (the bath was very smelly) and the staff helped us to change to a different room immediately. Generally, the rooms need thorough cleaning though - you almost always see dust particles flying around. Perhaps running some air purifiers will help. Breakfast was very basic, which is expected at Ibis, but to the level that there weren't even boiled eggs. But overall, we had a pleasant stay because the location was nice and beds were comfortable. Will probably stay here again if on a short 2-3 night trip. For longer trips, I would probably go for a another hotel.
