579 Higashishiokojicho, Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto, 600-8216, Japan
Solid option for travelers, extremely convenient location as is just in front of the Kyoto station and several shoppes and restaurants. Breakfast buffet is a nice highlight, plenty of options for every taste Rooms are clean despite looking already quite outdated, but well maintained overall. Beds were very comfortable. Service was very good and even though not all the staff members speak English, they are friendly and manage to provide very good service
This hotel is in front of Kyoto Station. The interior design shows Japanese culture. The service is very good. If you are staying more than 1 night, you need to know that this hotel practices: 1. ECO Cleaning: - No bed making - No room/bathroom cleaning - No garbage collection. 2. NO Cleaning - No bed making - No room/bathroom cleaning - No garbage collection. - No towel exchange Extra notes: Staffs will not enter room. If guests need a towel exchange, they will hang at the door. They will clean up the guests room for every 3 nights. When we have an inquiry, the staff are very helpful and solve our problem. Not all staff are fluent in English, but we can communicate well using apps or Google Translate. The room wall is very thick and we have not heard any voices from our neighbors. But please be aware, occasionally we can hear the train when it pass by. If you're SUPER SENSITIVE to sound while sleeping, please consider booking a different room that is not facing Kyoto Station.
The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location – it’s right across from Kyoto Station, so super easy to get around with city buses, metro, and JR lines. The staff are really helpful too. Breakfast options were solid. Just a heads-up: there’s no gym or pool, and while they do offer laundry service (for an extra charge), there’s no coin laundry inside. Still, with such great connectivity, it’s one of the best places to stay in Kyoto. Would definitely come back!
The location of this hotel is honestly the best part – it’s right across from Kyoto Station, so getting around is super easy with buses, metro, and JR lines. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms are quite spacious, especially by Japanese standards. Breakfast was pretty good too. Just so you know, there’s no gym or pool, and no coin laundry (only paid laundry service through the hotel). But overall, the convenience makes it a great place to stay. Would totally come back!
