The most important tourist attraction to see in Kyoto. It’s beautiful to view it in the morning. Go early as possible, the streets around the temple get extremely busy. Well worth it to go during sunrise for the best pictures and photos you’ll ever get.
Great place to visit, the street leading up to the temple is filled with gift shops of all varieties and food/drinks. The temple is beautiful with many amazing views for pictures. Places for prayer and even the Otawa waterfall. Highly recommended.
Although I didn't take many photos mainly because I arrived too late for the best views and early for the lights the place still felt magical and incredibly beautiful. I’m definitely planning to visit again soon to explore more, as I didn't get to see everything due to tired feet from a full day of sightseeing. Out of the several tourist spots I visited that day, this was my favorite, especially since it wasn't too crowded. It’s a truly enchanting place that I highly recommend!
We came during later in the afternoon and despite it still being crowded on a weekday, the place itself is still a must see. The architectural magnificence of the Japanese pagoda and building amazed us. We left near sunset so the view was amazing. Would highly recommend.
