595-1 Higashishiokojicho, Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto, 600-8216, Japan
Great location! I mean, to be fair, it’s not the most beautiful area in Tokyo, but it’s a great place to stay if you want to visit most iconic places. Hotel staff was nice, and has many amenities in the lobby. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. I do not recommend having breakfast here, it’s very expensive and you may want to spend that amount in Kyoto goods.
The location of this hotel is quite good, only take your around 5mins to get here from the Kyoto station. Easy to find and easy to access. There are several bus line located near the hotel which can take u to different temple, it won’t require you lots of walk to get the those bus stop. One of the things to aware is that their checkin time is 5pm for short stay guest. I only lived for 2 days and its count as a short stay. Despite relative late checkin time, u can still store ur luggage here same as in other hotel. Tax fee is required additional to ur room fee during checkin with price 400yen per night. The most worst experience I had is the wifi. The WiFi signal in our room is extremely poor (my room located at 8/f corner room). Altho I didn’t travel a lot in the world, this is the worst wifi I had among 50+ hotels I had stay. I can’t even load my Google map fluently with the hotel wifi. I will recommend u to use ur own data to have a smooth internet experience(if u hv a lot data which I am not…) Without the wifi issue, the hotel is basically not that bad. The staff are not rude, the breakfast is quite ok, everything is basically fine. The incredibly slow-speed internet really pissed me off tho.
My room was good enough for me. I'm 6'3, could fit in the shower no worries. Great Aircon and washing facilities. Awesome location for what I needed too. Oh and the breakfast bar was AMAZING.
Kyoto Tower Annex is a lovely hotel with good rooms and close (5min walk) access to Kyoto main station. The staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. Rooms are well kept and a good size for us compared to some other hotels in Japan. The breakfast was a good variety of continental style but the hot meal was set and served (no menu/option).
A decently sized hotel located near a train station, convenience stores and with the Kyoto tower just across it. Rested comfortably for the 2 nights we stayed. Staff were friendly and they do baggage transfers to your next hotel. Coin laundry service is provided at the corner of the lobby.
