Excellent location, service, and amenities. Despite the slightly higher price point (and there are probably more affordable options in the Kyoto Station area), this hotel provides great value. Some of the highlight amenities at this hotel included the communal bathhouse, it provided travellers a peek into Japanese bath/onsen culture. That main floor lounge area was an essential hangout zone to decompress and enjoy unlimited tea and coffee. Plus the breakfast buffet: super high-quality options catering to western and eastern-style tastes. The best part about staying here was the service. In particular, I had a great experience receiving help with an early check-in issue, which Ideguchi-san and his team of caring staff helped to resolve. I am very thankful for Ideguchi-san’s dedication to his guests’ comfort. He has shown my family exemplary hospitality, I will not hesitate to come back to stay at Hotel Vischio the next time I’m in Kyoto! Actually, I will probably make an effort to search out the Granvia chain of hotels in other Japanese cities, too, due to my positive experience here.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is excellent—very close to public transportation and surrounded by a wide variety of restaurants. Don Quijote is just across the street, which was super convenient. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean, and our room (26 sq m) was very comfortable and spacious enough for three adults. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. I accidentally left my earrings behind when we checked out, and when I returned, they had been securely kept for me and were promptly returned—such a relief and a testament to the honesty and professionalism of the staff. I truly can’t say enough good things about this hotel. I highly recommend it and will definitely stay here again!

Highly recommend! Met at the lobby by super friendly and courteous staff members that were incredibly helpful getting us checked in. Rooms and very clean and spacious with all the necessary amenities. The bathroom seemed very modern and had more space than most I saw when searching the area within this price range. Zero negatives to say about this hotel! Come and stay!

This was a wonderful place to stay. From the beginning the front of house staff was kind, warm and welcome. They kindly explained all available amenities and answered any questions. The rooms were clean and comfortable. On site laundry services available and easy to check via a QR code. Very good public bath and gym. The location is superb for access to Kyoto station, just a few minutes walk so you can easily access local trains or the Shinkansen. Several shopping malls, convenience stores and restaurants are all close by.

We had a wonderful stay! We were late for check-in, called the hotel, and received a welcoming response. Their service were great, and we absolutely love that the hotel have a private lobby, where you can do your work or just enjoy their complimentary coffee, for its room guests. The rooms are clean and spacious. Beds are very comfy, too. Great location, near the train station and great amenities around the hotel. Thank you for making our stay so nice and memorable.
