This hotel is extra special with beautiful spaces to relax. The staff were so exceptional with warm welcomes and always willing to go above and beyond for all our needs! Breakfast was lovely with 1930's music, many choices. Our room offered extra amenities such as pj's, robes, snacks, drink bar. The location was central to so much with an easy walk to the canal. Highly reccomend!
Marufukuru is the absolute best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I booked this hotel because of the history with Nintendo. I thought it would be an incredible experience and I was absolutely right. If you love Nintendo and their history, this hotel respects this. They offer a tour of the hotel and shows images from when they purchased the building and the things they did to ensure the history of Nintendo wasn’t erased. They have a small museum that shows some of the highlights of Nintendo’s history as well. We stayed in the Japanese Suite and “gorgeous” isn’t enough to describe this room. It has a mini bar that is refilled daily and you get access to the full size self service bar upstairs as well. The bed is massive and the outside shower/bath is incredible. We stayed here for our honeymoon and they were so kind and even gave us a small gift. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. It absolutely incredible.
Our stay at Marufukuro was exceptional—the hotel seamlessly blends historic charm with refined modern comfort, housed in the former Nintendo headquarters. The room was spacious, quiet, and thoughtfully appointed, and the guest lounge has a relaxing atmosphere with curated refreshments and unique memorabilia.
Marufukoro was easily our favorite accommodation we had during our recent trip to Japan. Everything from the staff, the room, amenities, and dining blew away our expectations. With the building being the original Nintendo Headquarters, we were amazed at how thoughtfully preserved and designed the spaces were. Too often are old buildings modernized with significant loss in character, but not Marufukoro. Every inch felt thoughtfully curated to show the history of the building while providing modern luxuries. We look forward to booking an even longer stay during our next trip to Japan, as two nights were not nearly enough. Thank you, Marufukoro Team, for such an incredible stay!
We had a wonderful stay at the Marufukuro. Most notable are the young people who work at the reception desk and throughout the hotel. They were amazing! They do it all, with kindness and humility. In addition, our room was large and comfortable. (We were warned ahead of time there was no lift.) And the breakfast, the bar, and the library were all impressive. We enjoyed them all. Would stay there again without hesitation!
