The term 'void deck' is a uniquely Singaporean term, where many of our fondest memories growing up are from, and popular halal zi char restaurant Buey Tahan See-Food is reigniting those good ol' days at their new void-deck themed restaurant! ?

Located at Downtown East, you'll be hit with a wave of nostalgia as you see old-school mailboxes, birdcage light fixtures, prohibited signs found at most HDB void decks, and other decor littered all over ?

The main highlight of their ninth outlet though, is the nostalgic 'mama shop' (convenience store), which will get you reminiscing as you browse through shelves lined with vintage snacks and toys ?

Buey Tahan See-Food brings their seafood 'A' game to this store, where you can expect all your favourites! Since void decks are all about togetherness, why not get their famous Crab In Da Bag, for generous portions of Sri Lankan crabs, prawns, clams, mussels with sides of prawn paste chicken, man tou and more! It's lick-your-plate delicious! ?

One unique menu that's only available at the Downtown East outlet is their all-day breakfast! Whether you want a morning boost, or you just love breakfast all day everyday, their Champion Breakfast is bound to satiate those cravings. Expect a hefty meal of chicken and turkey ham slices, sautéed mushrooms, chicken chipolata sausages, scrambled eggs, hash brown, tomatoes, two pieces of toasted bread, baked beans, and mesclun salad! If you're not drooling, we are! ?

They also have freshly-baked Croissant Saandwiches for pastry lovers which starts at $4.90! Worth it? We think so! ?

Craving for something sweet? Their Gelato on Croffle will get it fixed! Choose from a variety of flavours like New York Cheese Cake, Yuzu Sorbet, and Thai Milk Tea. The Downtown East outlet closes at 12am, which makes it perfect for your late-night dessert hunt! ?

There's something for everyone here at Buey Tahan See-Food's Downtown East outlet, which ties in to the meaning behind their void deck concept: bringing people from all walks of life over scrumptious food! A new foodie spot to check out this weekend with your loved ones! ?

Halal status: While the outlet is pending halal certification, all of their other 8 outlets are halal-certified.
