There's no shortage of amazing things to do in Selangor. From taking the kids to see cute alpacas and raccoons to visiting the beautiful waterfalls, it's enough to fill up our Malaysia long weekends and school holidays with something worthwhile. If you're looking for another hidden attraction in Selangor, you're going to love exploring this one!

Situated in Selangor, capture the sights of beautiful blooms at World of Phalaenopsis. Known as the largest Phalaenopsis orchid producer in Malaysia, you can find them in two locations: the first farm in Ulu Yam, Selangor and the second farm in Genting Highlands, Pahang.
P.S. For convenience, we recommend driving to the farm in Ulu Yam, which is a one-hour drive from Kuala Lumpur.

Open to visitors, the World of Phalaenopsis is founded by Steven S.H. Cheong and Yap Y.K. who began as hobbyists with a passion for growing a wide range of orchids in their backyards. In 2006, they established the Waltex Biotec Sdn Bhd and continue to grow beautiful Phalaenopsis orchids in a 6-acre agricultural land in Ulu Yam.
It only took them another 3 years to expand their business with a second farm in Genting Highlands, which led them to become the largest Phalaenopsis orchid grower in Malaysia.

When you step into this orchid farm, it's easy to be amazed by the variety of orchids available. Phalaenopsis orchid, also known as 'moth orchid', is able to flourish with very little care and water. If you're looking for a fuss-free plant that adds a pop of colour to your home, this is it!

Starting at RM25 per pot, explore the labyrinth of stunning blooms to find the one that appeals to you. These orchids also make a wonderful gift for your family, more so for mothers who love flowers. Do note that visitors are not allowed to pluck these flowers and unfortunately, the orchid farm has seen such incidents happening in the past.

Besides admiring the hanging plants that decorate the ceiling, World of Phalaenopsis also has an indoor pond complete with adorable ducks. For a small fee, your kids can enjoy a mini duck feeding session too.
