Xiangshan Park (象山公園) is a charming and serene green space, perfect for anyone looking to escape the urban hustle and reconnect with nature. Located near the iconic Xiangshan (Elephant Mountain) hiking trail, the park offers a peaceful setting for relaxation, exercise, and family outings. Its proximity to the Xiangshan hiking trail is a major bonus for outdoor enthusiasts. You can easily start or end your hike at the park, making it a perfect complement to the trail’s more adventurous vibe.

This is a fairly nice park with walking trails and playgrounds very close to the Taipei 101 tower and the access to the Xiangshan hiking trail up Elephant Mountain. It is adjacent to the Xiangshan subway station.

This recreational green space consists of a playground area, many trees, and is located right next to Xiangshan! This park is located right next to the exit of Xiangshan MRT, and this place is perfect for relaxing!

Friends brought us to their neighborhood park for a nice afternoon walk to see the Taipei skyline. This is a quiet park with basketball courts and large children's play ground. Well maintained toilettes that even designed to have washing area for small kids. It's great for the residents (who can afford to live in this hood). There are plenty young and old residents either playing or just getting their sun lights with busy tourists just walking by or through the park to the Xiangshan Mountain top for the Taipei skyline view. Grass is "somewhat" maintained and does have plenty room for improvement, at least for this richy neighborhood standards. I did not see garbage can around but you can toss your trash in the restroom area. I saw ONE drinking fountain near the children's playground. I assume it would be nice if I can have a cup of coffee and croissants in the morning on the few sitting benches or an afternoon picnic lunch but I only saw couple of tables. I'm unclear about the local laws and not sure I can sit on the grass for a really nice picnic with Taipei 101 building in full view.

It's easy to navigate to this place with plenty of visible signage from the MRT station to Xiangshan Park. I love this place for its breathtaking views of Taipei 101 and the best hiking trail in the city!
