We had a fantastic time at the National Museum of Nature and Science in Tokyo. The museum is huge, with impressive exhibits, including dinosaurs and interactive zones. It’s a great place to visit with kids—they loved the hands-on activities and engaging displays! The museum is well-organized and easy to navigate, though it can get quite crowded on weekends. If you want to take your time exploring, visiting in the morning is a good idea. Highly recommended for families and anyone curious about nature, history, and scientific discoveries! ???

This is the huge details museum which includes all about Japan since its begins from the nature to the science. There are 2 buildings seem like past and future. You can borrow the guide tour audio in English language for ¥600 which make you more comfortable. If you selected tablet it will show you the map too. Here is Hajiko too. The thing that very impressed me was Mummy!! So amazing!! You better spend time here at least half day.

This museum is on the eastern border of the beautiful Ueno Park. When we arrived about 10 minutes before opening hour, there was already a very long queue. Even though we decided to walk around more before entering, we did notice that the queues moved briskly once the doors were opened. Tickets can be purchased via kiosk or with attendants. Credit cards accepted with both options. Exhibits are on multiple levels and there is a lot to see and learn. Basement level has a hall dedicated to notable Japanese scientists. One of the exhibits included Hachi along with Taro (from the Japan Antarctic Expedition). There are so much to see!! Neighboring the museum is also a Gallery, which does not require tickets, but looks like a multi leve extension of the museum. There are many young families enjoying the museums. It’s a great place to place for visitors of all ages. Each building would take at least a couple of hours if one does not linger too long per exhibit, which is hard to do. It’s a wonderful place to spend a day. And afterward, there is still the park to visit.

This has got to be one of the most underrated places to visit in Tokyo. The dinosaur fossils are incredible, and the collection is vast. You could really spend the entire day here and it would be an amazing time. They also have a science and tech section, but that wasn't really for me; those who enjoy that will likely be intrigued though. Definitely worth the small fee to enter, and given the crowds on a weekend do purchase them online

A good place to bring kids and anyone wanting to see more about science. There is an entrance fee but it's reasonable. I suggest bring your food and eat them at the rooftop viewing deck or one of the benches available outside the gallery building. This is because the cafeteria has limited choices and limited capacity. We went there on a Sunday. Also, I find the Nagoya science museum more interactive if that is what you are looking for.
