Architecturally beautiful small temple complex with a number of seats so you can sit down and relax. It is a burial ground for the Jodo Sect of Buddhism so you'll see many graves. If you're in Shinsekai/ Tsutenkaku/ Tenno-ji area, I strongly recommend a 15mins visit here. Just sit down, relax, reflect.

visited Isshin-ji Temple in September 2024 during my trip to Osaka. It was an unplanned stop as I happened to pass by this place and decided to take a look. I’m so glad I did because the visit turned out to be a meaningful and memorable experience. Isshin-ji Temple is not your typical tourist destination but rather a place of deep cultural and spiritual significance. It is known for housing the ashes of faithful individuals, and the atmosphere reflects that—peaceful, calm, and full of reverence. Walking through the temple grounds, I felt a strong sense of tranquility, making it a refreshing escape from the bustling streets of the city. The architecture of the temple is truly impressive. The unique structure stands out with its modern yet traditional design elements. It’s a beautiful blend of history and contemporary aesthetics, which makes it different from other temples I’ve visited in Japan. While the temple may not be as crowded or famous as some other landmarks in Osaka, it holds its charm in the serenity it offers. It’s a wonderful place to pause, reflect, and take in the spiritual ambiance. If you’re in the area and have the time, I highly recommend stopping by Isshin-ji Temple. It’s a peaceful spot that offers a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and traditions. Whether it’s for the architecture, the spiritual vibe, or simply to take a quiet moment for yourself, this temple is worth the visit.

It's a nice small relaxing temple for a quick visit with unique statues. Sometimes gets busy during midday but can be very quiet.

Not as impressive as the Shitenno-ji temple, this one feels more local and relaxed. Visited by many locals to light incense for the deceased, be respectful when visiting. Truly beautiful with incredible statues at the entrance.

Lucky to visit this place and attend the session of zen meditation. Lovely lady who the family in many generations look after the temple so well and run the mediation session. Peaceful place - relaxing and calm.
