Well known bridge for the iconic view of the Glico Man sign and Ebisu Ferris Wheel. Great area for pictures. However, be prepared for lots of tourists in the area. To the north is Shinsaibashi, a popular shopping area, and many food stalls to the south which offer Takoyaki, Okonomiyaki, king crab, and Kobe beef. A must visit for anyone coming into the Namba area of Osaka hoping to see Dotonbori, and a must for anyone coming to Japan for the first time.

The path along the water leading to the bridge is the perfect nighttime stroll. Very immersed in the tourism area but at the same time, easily accessible. The city lights and neon signs are amazing. It wasn't too crowded when we went so that definitely contributed to the good experience. I do think the rowdyness and dirtiness doesn't surpass any average downtown area so nothing to complain about. We were debating on taking one of the boat tours that go under the bridge for 20 minutes but it was cold and the people looked miserable so we just people watched.

Busy bridge but thankfully that’s not the only bridge. Beautiful to see the sunset! Around here,you have stores with varieties of things to buy from including meals.

It was a beautiful and pleasant end to our Kyoto visit. The sakuras, the serene atmosphere, and the sight of petals floating on the water created a scene straight out of a painting. The soft pink layer covering the water’s surface looked like a Persian silk carpet — delicate and breathtaking. The area was full of life, with plenty of restaurants around to enjoy. Truly a memorable experience.
