I was here today for Disaster Emergency Class for Foreigners. It was great! They have theater, set, emergency kit display, and a room to feel up to magnitude 9 earthquake. For the class, they have English and Chinese interpreter, but I don't think they have it on daily basis. A nice experience and I learned a lot. They also give us a small emergency kit for free!
We went here as tourists after visiting one similar in LA. This was awesome. Staff treated us like royalty. Highly recommend this place of you from OS.
Great experience. They even have an earthquake simulator.
Went with my Japanese friend to experience the simulated earthquake. It was pretty cool ! The museum was free to enter too! Everything is in Japanese but its worth it just to go for the earthquake simulator.
What an amazing centre! The friendly staff had advised us that we had just missed a tour but we were welcome to explore the centre at our leisure (as it’s free to enter). They have so much information but the way it’s relayed made it very engaging. Half way through, the staff approached us to see if we wanted to experience their earthquake simulator and we could not believe the impact. Even with us holding handrails and receiving a countdown warning, a man stumbled during the exercise. The exhibit is primarily in Japanese but we wouldn’t let this dissuade you. A very insightful, educational experience for all ages.
