[UPDATED 21 July 2021 - Please refer to this article to find out which public musollahs are open for prayer at the moment! ?]
In Singapore, we're blessed to have so
many beautiful mosques across the country. But with the recent closure of mosques in Singapore due to the COVID-19 outbreak, you might just be wondering where you can pray!
P.S. Check out these 5 du'as that every Muslim needs for well-being and protection during this uncertain period. Credit: Giphy
To help you out, we've rounded up this list of prayer spaces (or musollah) in Singapore other than mosques so you can still perform your prayers if you're out and about. Whether you're in the touristy areas like Bugis and Orchard or in the heartlands, we've got you covered!
Note regarding the COVID-19 situation: In the prayer spots listed below, we've indicated if there are prayer mats, garments and an ablution area. But when visiting these spots during this period, we
strongly urge that you bring your own prayer mats and garments to avoid indirect contact with others. If you really have no choice and need to use the communal prayer mats, we recommend using a disinfectant to sanitise the mats before and after you pray. Some of these prayer spaces are also really small so we urge that you keep a safe distance from other Muslims by waiting for your turn and not performing congregational prayers as much as possible.
Disclaimer: Do note that some of these prayer rooms might be closed due to the COVID-19 situation. It's best to keep yourself updated with the situation on social media or check with the relevant authorities before your head to any of the prayer rooms.
