4 years in Singapore, and I finally come across a Hawker Center that has local vegetarian options, and not just the usual Indian fare you come across at limited Hawker Centers. Imagine my joy and surprise - I immediately had to visit, and my husband being the sport he is, accompanied me - no questions asked. I found the Yu Long Vegetarian Food stall because I was looking for vegetarian dumplings in Singapore, which is one of my husband’s favourites. To our surprise, when we got there, we saw that Circuit Road Hawker Center had a lot more vegetarian eateries and we were excited to try all of them. The dumplings at this stall are made to order, and the owners are kind and keen to share when asked about their popular dishes. We ordered the Fried Guo Tie and Dried Wonton Noodle. The pan fried dumplings were a delight and the filling was scrumptious. The dipping sauce was not as punchy as I would have liked it, but there’s always soya sauce and chilli padi to make up for that! The noodles were tasty too - this was recommended when I told I liked spicy food. It wasn’t really spicy, but I liked it. The next time we have visitors or someone is looking for a vegetarian hawker eatery, I won’t think twice before recommending this place. I recommend!
Known for their steamed and fried dumplings with juicy and meaty filling! I believe the dumplings are also available for sale in frozen form as well. They have other local dishes too, and also make their own mooncakes. Allium-free vegetarian and quite vegan-friendly, though it's best to confirm with the staff as the menu is not labelled. Near Mattar / Macpherson MRT.
The pan fry dumplings was really good ? Wanton Mee was not bad either, just that the noodles were too much. Better ask for less if you don't eat a lot. The wanton mee soup was not so good, would recommend to eat the dry version instead. The lady who was cooking the food was nice. Thanks for the wonderful meal
The Mee Hoon Kway soup and their dumplings are absolutely delicious. Additionally, the mother & daughter team managing the stall are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.
