Was not disappointed :) Ramen and gyoza were cheap and delicious, and service was quick. Spice was tolerable, personally I would’ve liked more, but is a good level for those who are still working on their spice tolerance. Upstairs has a small seating area as well as a covered, private space for one person to pray in the corner. Personally I really enjoy the coziness of this style of ramen restaurant, but tourists may struggle with the space. Make sure to watch your head if you’re over 5’4, and bring cash !

We have tried Honlu ramen at the Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo location and it always hits the spot! The staff is very welcoming, the place is very cozy and small. Their spicy fried chicken ramen is what we always get and it does not disappoint. The broth is rich packed with spicy flavours with its perfectly crispy fried chicken! Portions are perfect. We also enjoy their chicken Gyoza.

Halal Ramen Honolu is a true hidden gem in Tokyo, offering an authentic and satisfying ramen experience in a cozy, intimate setting. With seating for only about 10-12 people, it’s a small space. I ordered the Special Rich Chicken Flavor Ramen, and it was outstanding. The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the broth was rich, umami-packed, and deeply comforting. Toppings were generous and well-balanced, featuring tender chicken, crispy karaage, soft-boiled egg, bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms, and nori—each element adding depth to every bite. A thoughtful touch for Muslim diners: there’s a small prayer space available for one person. Important note: they only accept cash. So some prepared. If you're after a flavorful halal ramen experience in Tokyo, Halal Ramen Honolu is absolutely worth the detour. Just arrive early or be patient. It’s small, but definitely worth the wait.

Their fried chicken was quite tasty with balanced crispy and tender textures. As for the fried chicken ramen, I’d say the chicken broth and chunky ground meat was its highlight. They really added much richness to the overall flavor. The fried gyoza, however, was a bit of a letdown, for it was slightly burnt and a little underwhelming. That said, it’s still a lovely establishment with extremely friendly staff, and honestly, who wouldn’t welcome more places offering halal ramen?!
