High quality and tasty sesame based dishes. The flavours are 10/10 and they provide you with a variety of 10 condiments to add to your food, which is great for me! We have visited twice in the last few days already! We had the hot ramen, white curry and the bibimp plate. The ladies are really friendly. Note that the restaurant doesn’t open until 11:30. However the shop selling sesame sauces is open from 11:00. Google seems to be wrong.
Even though it was only vegetables, it was hearty and warmed me up from within and kept me active all day long. The unlimited use of the world's best sesame seasoning at this price is a satisfaction that can only be experienced here. Since it is unknown to others, I was able to eat breakfast in a relaxed and calm atmosphere. The aroma from the sesame grind, which you scrub by yourself, is something luxurious. In the morning, you can have a traditional Japanese steamed breakfast from 8:00 to 10:00. I will go there again when I come to Kyoto! The stuffs are very friendly.
Best breakfast ever, everything tasted amazing! On a snowy kyoto morning I randomly spotted this place. I was a little late for the breakfast menu, but they still accomodated me. It was warm, inviting, staff were so lovely. I felt like I was in ghibli movie, sitting at my table, snow falling outside, gentle happy music in the background and beautiful Japanese food.
We ate here twice during our recent trip to Kyoto - like they say, "If it's nice, do it twice!" The first time we tried two different types of curry - both were delicious - and we rounded off with the super-tasty sesame chocolate cake and the sesame ice cream affogata. As the service and the food were so good, we decided to repeat the experience and came back a couple of days later for the Dandan noodles - the rich, creamy, slightly spicy sesame broth was to die for! - and repeated our choice of desserts ? Whether or not you're vegetarian/vegan, this sweet little place (there's only 14 covers) was a brilliant find and we highly recommend it. Go try for yourselves if you're in Kyoto in the region of Nijo castle or the Imperial Palace - you'll thank us!
This is a terrific vegan place in Kyoto! A small set menu but the food is incredibly flavorful and fresh! Plus the great health benefits of sesame oil and fresh veggies… It’s incredible to find vegan food that tastes so good and is so wholesome!
