We first went to another Chibo but they had no halalfriendly menu (they cook the halal/veg dishes on the same plate as the other dishes) and they told us to go to Chibo in Dotonbori. When we arrived in Dotonbori, they helped us immediately. There was a floor only for halaldishes, which is amazing. We could finally taste okonomiyaki as muslims! So nice of Chibo to include us. The two dishes that we chose were amazing. Will definitely visit again next time we’re in Japan.

Really good taste and They are not force you to order 1 dish 1 person. Anyway, please order it reasonable with their kindness. For example my case, 2 Man and 1 Little women we ordered 2 dishes because we aware of the food waste. But 1 drink per person.

Were looking forward to try some okonomiyaki in Osaka, and found this place looking around at Google Maps. The wait time was around 30 minutes, but they took orders while we were in line and served fairly quickly once we were seated. Ordered the vegetarian green onion okonomiyaki (2360 yen), and the server sprayed mayonnaise on it from above his head which was really fun ? The okonomiyaki were served on a grill plate which kept it freshly hot throughout the meal. The okonomiyaki itself was quite good, but slightly on the blander side for my own taste so I used the sauces provided to add to the flavour. The freshness was really good. Overall was still a great meal and would love to return again.

We had dinner at this popular okonomiyaki restaurant in Dotonburi, Osaka. The area is super busy with international visitors, especially in the evening. We got ourselves the 'Osaka Set' that may be enough for 2-3 people, and includes a tonpeiyaki, an okonomiyaki, a yakisoba, and a bowl of salad. The set costs us ¥ 5,880 (incl. of tax) and we also spent another ¥ 1,230 (incl. of tax) for 2 highball drinks (one with extra yuzu). The meal was nice and portion was generous; the food may be adequate for 3 persons but we had to finish between 2 of us ?. The dishes are Osaka's specialties, so we want to enjoy them while we're in the best dining area of Osaka. The restaurant has a few floors of dining area, but the spaces are quite tight. Customer services are good as usual in Japan, and you can pay with V/MC payment cards.

Very crowded, loud, and busy — but I just loved the vibe! Staff shout “thank you” in Japanese every time someone walks in or out, and it adds to the fun, high-energy atmosphere. The food was quite good, though a bit too filling. I’d recommend sharing one main dish and a side between two people so you have room to try other things along the street — it is one of the biggest food streets in Osaka, after all! The drinks were decent but a bit too sweet for my taste. Overall, it’s probably best if you’re young and looking for a vibrant spot to enjoy dinner and drinks with friends.
