Came across this cafe while walking around and decided to pop in. I am glad I did! The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and prepared quickly. The atmosphere was wonderful and relaxing, with jazz music playing, people working, friends meeting, individuals having some time out, it was lovely. I had the lunchtime set and added a melon soda, price was very reasonable and the meal was filling. Highly recommended!
Understated place but actually really great! A very good cup of coffee, and a well priced, tasty tuna sandwich set with yummy minestrone soup and house salad. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area and hungry/thirsty. Seemed popular as well…
Little coffee shop with an upper and lower level right under the train tracks. Overlooking the Kanda river the feeling and space here is great. You get to drink your coffee and eat some sandwiches or cakes while looking out at the river and hearing trains softly rumbling above. Some may find that annoying but it was a nice and calming experience to me. I had the seasonal huge creme brulee pancakes and the mill crepe cake, as well as a café au lait. The pancakes were... Well they were a mistake. Not that they were good, they were very delicious, but boy is it a lot. After you get through half of it your regret your decision and definitely start to wonder just how many calories this thing is. I'd only recommend this to truly hungry folks, or extreme sweet tooths. It had tons of cream on it and a crisp burned brulee top, as advertised. It was definitely tasty, just a lot. The millcrepe cake was airy and came with some fruits which was nice, and had a soft and smooth cream flavour. The atmosphere is great, they got jazzy tunes playing on the speakers and the decor is quite nice. Overall I'd recommend this place for sure! I'll be back to try their big blt egg salad sandwiches, which is what I probably should've done first.
A lovely place for breakfast. We recommend the sandwiches. The Strawberry pancake was a bit disappointing. The strawberries were frozen before and were not so many. the matcha latte and cold brewed coffee were great.
