Superb experience. Was there for anniversary, and the staff curated the room by dressing it up to fit the occasion. Service was impeccable. Every staff member was warm, polite and cordial and made us feel very welcomed. Beach fronting means we could go for sunrise walk. The buffet breakfast matches the best you can find any part of Asia

For this birthday-cation, we chose Westin Desaru for a 3D2N stay, marking our second visit to see Kedidi by Muara since the place was previously under renovation. Reservations were arranged by Alexados Chong, and the room had simple birthday decorations. Thank you so much! Upon check-in, we were greeted by Aziaty, who was very informative. The bellman and concierge, Hafiz and Fairuz, were lovely and made sure to double-check our room while assisting with our luggage. Our daughter was eager to go to the Westin Kids Club, where we met Anna, Nana, and Intan. They were caring and helpful, and our daughter spent hours there every day until check-out. A big shout-out to them for taking care of our daughter, nurturing her experience in arts, and even helping to put a plaster on her knee (she had fallen and gotten a scar before we arrived at the hotel). As foodies, we tried Kedidi for lunch with the assistance of Wani and Faizal. They were friendly and provided great insights about the menu and food. At dinner, Fajar and Hikmah served us and convinced us to try the Western dishes, which were juicy and delicious. At Seasonal Taste, we tried Nasi Goreng Desaru, Ayam Percik, and the Westin Burger, with Safiq accommodating us. The food presentation wowed us, and we still can't stop thinking about it. Kudos to the chef! During dinner, Teguh attended to us. Although I believe he was an intern, his service was impeccable—well-trained and courteous. We also rented bicycles, with Iqbal and Roy assisting our daughter in buckling up and enjoying the ride. It would be nice to provide umbrellas or shelter for the staff, as it was very sunny and hot, but they happily accommodated us without hesitation. We ended our vacation with a smooth check-out, attended by Atiqah, and were entertained by Mia and Haziq while waiting for our transport. They truly embodied hospitality and great service. Overall, it was an excellent hotel and resort. Your team provided us with a wonderful experience, and we won’t hesitate to stay again whenever we visit Desaru.

The hotel is in a great location, on the beach. It is well connected to the other hotels and the golf courses by a free shuttle. The staff are lovely and friendly. The breakfast spread is great!! The rooms are big and clean, with a large Bathtub, and Balcony with nice view. The beach is described as clean, well-maintained. Special thanks to reception staff Shikin who was on duty on 12 May 2025 at 12noon. She helped to change my credit card to be charged in the most efficient and helpful manner, and to Mindy who promptly amended my room service charges when I noticed that one item was mistakenly charged to my room. Some areas for improvement: room service billing system needs to be improved as my travel group noticed at least 2 mistakes in the bill while checking out.

The Westin at Desaru is a fabulous hotel. The tropical pool area and restaurant are amazing, especially the cocktails and the fish. The beach area is lovely and the staff are super helpful! Also the breakfast buffet is amazing! Well worth a stay, especially if you just want to relax and unwind.
