I recently visited the National Hotel in Fremantle during a holiday, and I have to say, the location is great! It’s right in the heart of the action, which is a huge plus. However, we went on a weekday, and it felt a bit lacking in atmosphere—definitely not the lively vibe I was hoping for. The tables were pretty sticky, which wasn’t ideal, and the service was a bit slow. As for the cocktails, they were a little bland for my taste. On the bright side, the food was quite good! The portion sizes were great, and everything was decent quality. I have a feeling if we had visited during a busier time, the place might have had a much better vibe. Overall, it’s a solid spot, but it could use a little more energy to really shine.

We just called in for a drink and quick meal on a Wednesday night. The ales were good, the chicken parmi chips and salad great. The bonus was a solo singer-guitarist came on about 8 and played a lot of 70s music. Excellent night out for a reasonable price.

Here for business. Loved the room and location. Concierge service is normal hours only, so don’t expect a 3-5 star hotel service. Let’s say you lock your self out of your room, you won’t have till 10am next day to get a hold of someone. The staff there work the bar and the front desk, so be patient with them - all hard workers. I would say it was the best steak I’ve had so far being that I travel multiple times here starting last year. I have yet to find a good steak on par to American style but this place hits the spot. Definitely will be coming back for the food.

I’ve been coming here a lot lately because of the ambiance, the acoustic as well as the service. FOH people especially Connor, they are all very friendly and very nice. Will definitely come back again ???

Honestly every time i come to this pub the energy and vibe is always welcoming and fun! Grace and Millie are the best, always serving us with a smile !! Nathan / Aurora are beautiful people too! These people should get recognition for the love and effort they put into their job!
