This entry-free Museum is an absolute must-see for anyone with a scintilla of interest in maritime history. It's a captivating journey through Western Australia's seafaring past, spread across three impressive floors. I was utterly enthralled by the sheer scale of the vessels on display. You can get up close and personal with these behemoths of the sea, truly appreciating their craftsmanship and the sheer audacity of their voyages. The free exhibits alone offer a riveting glimpse into the state's nautical heritage, making it an unmissable experience. Don't just take my word for it; embark on your own exploration of this remarkable museum – you won't be disappointed.
I love this complex ❤️ even though I’m not interested in museums.. it’s a fun place to visit at least once in your life ?? great venue to bring your kids and family :) it’s also by the sea so views are remarkable. If you need a washroom or feel thirsty, there’s no need to go old school by the shore ? because there are toilets and a water cooler available inside ☘️
The Maritime Museum is a fascinating and peaceful place to visit. It’s free to enter and offers a unique look into naval and war history, with well-preserved exhibits and engaging displays. The location near the beach makes it an ideal stop for a relaxing yet educational outing. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.
This museum vertically turns it from a small building full of old boats into a 360 experience. Being able to see exhibits from above and below really makes this museum pop! Handy elevators give full access to all abilities. Each exhibit is lovingly dressed, resulting is in a feast for your eyes. For the wee ones there is A craft area on the ground floor, including a colour in digital aquarium. Plus a boat that you can enter and spin the captain wheel. An excellent cafe and bathroom facilities are also present
Great space and area to stay around for the day. The museum does a great job at utilizing architectural techniques that transforms the space into a flowing environment demonstrating and showcasing stunning and awe inspiring pieces perfectly staged within the building. Very fun for middle aged children with plenty of things to do
