Situated in the heart of Fremantle city, the WA Shipwrecks Museum offers free entry, making it a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts. The museum showcases fascinating exhibits of shipwrecks, detailing the stories behind each vessel and their journeys to Western Australia. Through carefully preserved artifacts and informative displays, visitors gain insight into the challenges and triumphs of maritime exploration, as well as the impact these events had on the region’s history. It’s a captivating place to explore and learn about Western Australia’s rich seafaring heritage.

For me, this is number one whilst in Fremantle. The Western Australia Shipwreck Museum Fremantle is a great place to get a taste for Western Australia’s maritime history. It's full of history and stories. We spent just under two hours here. And surely you can spend many hours if you are into history and you have time for it. It's a beautiful place to learn and see how it was in the past. Highly recommend going there. It's a real gem. No entry fee but in my opinion definitely worth donation.

Awesome attention to detail in this museum. The content could exceed hours and hours of reading. Highly recommend visiting, of course free entry is an option. But a few coins from your car or handbag could contribute in a big way.
