For a hotel i booked last minute, I was significantly surprised by what was offered. Since what I had come to expect from japan was tiny rooms, the spaciousness offered here was the largest of all my stays on my 2 week trip. Location wise even though far from alot of main attractions, having a close bus stop and other main bus lines within walking distance. I never found it an issue getting anywhere around kyoto and back to the hotel. Not only was it an extremely comfortable stay but the young receptionist Daria (a lovely Russian girl) who could speak English, was more than happy to offer suggestions and information about places to go and things to do. This information actually became priceless on my trip. Overall I enjoyed my stay here especially for the price, and if I'm ever back in kyoto I'd definitely stay again.
Good hotel, nice spacious room and clean. My only quam is that I was told they could hold our luggage but when I showed up nobody was at the desk and no one would answer the phone number they left to contact staff. Had to rush to make my appointment and then find coin lockers which was a bit annoying. They did apologize for the mixup and otherwise everything was great. I would still recommend this hotel!
We got a room with two double beds, enough to sleep 2 adults and 2 small children, with decent space. Price was ok. It is a small space, but has everything you could need, including a washing machine, drying room, herd and sink. Staff is basically non existent, and the person at the reception could not even order a taxi, and we had to use Uber. Position is a 20-ish minutes walk to Kyoto station, but in the middle of nowhere.
