Japan, 〒604-8001 Kyoto, Nakagyo Ward, 三条上る上大阪町509番地
A handy location near Kamogawa. A garden graces the lobby. There are rooms that look out onto the garden. The bold design is cool. Room was an adequate size. Breakfast was a comprehensive buffet. The public bath is a special place. It has two baths and no sauna. One of the baths has fresh air ventilation, apparently into the garden. There are two washer-dryers with lock on B1 next to the public bath. They get busy sometimes but you can run them any time of the day or night because the noise won’t disturb anyone. Our room included several Japanese three pin earthed outlets. I had a three pin power-board from Bunnings that worked a treat to safely charge a laptop.
Great hotel, with comfortable, well appointed rooms in a really good location for exploring Kyoto. The local area is rammed with good restaurants and bars, but be aware this area gets very busy with tourists (like all of Kyoto really) so probably best to eat early (1900) or be prepared to queue for the most popular places. Don't let you put this off tho, it's all part of the Kyoto experience.
Wonderful place to stay. Close to train and shopping. Had the garden twin room and the garden bathroom was a dream. Coin laundry and a bathhouse topped it all. Arranged luggage delivery to my next hotel. Breakfast had many different options in the buffet. Bathroom also had 3 prong USA outlet for all you girls that care!
