Popped into Sanjo Meiten-gai Shopping Arcade and was blown away by the size - it spans multiple blocks, packed with an interesting mix of old and new. It's like strolling through a charming alley, but under cover, so weather is never a problem. From boutique shops to food joints, there's something for everyone. The food scene is diverse, with everything from high-end dining to budget-friendly bites. Plus, there's no shortage of arcades with crane games - a big win if you're visiting with kids! Definitely a must-visit in Kyoto for a fun-filled shopping and dining experience.

Nice shopping strip connecting other larger shopping strips

It's nice to have a covered outside mall but sometimes there's not a lot of space to walk. In some places there are so many people that you can barely walk through the street. Be prepared to encounter a large crowd, lots of restaurants, shops, etc. I

A fantastic place to shop. You are able to spend hours here, food, shopping, entertainment and dessert. Loved it.
