Japan, 〒601-8017 Kyoto, Minami Ward, Higashikujo Kitakarasumacho, 1−1
The accommodation is reasonably priced, clean, and looks new. It is not too far from Kyoto Station and can be reached on foot. Although the hotel has shared bathrooms, it did not disrupt my stay, and in return, I got a spacious room with enough space to fully open my suitcase. The hotel offers plenty of amenities, including free-use washing machines. The staff is friendly and helpful. Outside of service hours, check-in and check-out can be done conveniently via a kiosk, and luggage storage is available.
The rooms are very small but clean and have the necessary amenities. There were 3 female toilets on my floor and never had to wait. The public bath and showers were also clean and didn’t have to wait there either. For the price it is a good choice and in an excellent location. The staff are friendly and helpful. The coffee service could be better but loved the tea.
The rooms are very small but the hotel is clean, elegant, and has a lot of amenities. My husband and I stayed in a room with a double bed which also had a sink, a stool, a coat rack/hangers, and a small shelf. A toothbrush/toothpaste, PJs, slippers, a body towel, and a hand towel. Room cleaning is every 4th day (clean sheets/towel/PJs/toothbrush). There are toilets separated by gender on every floor (we never had issues with having to wait). On the first floor, there is the lobby, an area with seating/tables, a laundry room, and the public baths. The staff at the lobby were helpful and spoke very good English (we were a bit confused about how to check in at the computer kiosk). They will hold luggage before/after check in. The area with seating/tables has a kitchenette, fancy coffee and loose leaf tea options, lots of comfy seating, and games. They play calming instrumental music and overall it's a really nice place to eat or chill. They also have various amenities you can borrow to bring to your room, like a hot kettle or extra comforter. The laundry room has 4 free washers and dryers as well as detergent- it is okay, the dryers don't work that well which can be frustrating. The staff are good about enforcing rules about not leaving laundry after it's done. The women's public bath has a key code for extra security. A variety of shampoo/conditioners are provided in addition to body soap, q tips, and a hair dryer. The showers have frosted glass for some privacy. Water was hot, water pressure was great. There is also a onsen-like public bath with separate showers. I never had problems with having to wait to shower.
