Upon arrival the receptionist was warm, welcoming and went above and beyond by stepping out to show me where to park the car. The room was warm, clean and the beds were super comfortable. Both the cocktails and mocktails were delish as was breakfast. A shame we were only there for 1 night. This hotel is in a lovely central location.

It would be impossible to be more central - literally right in Cathedral Square in the centre of Christchurch. I was able to walk to my company's Christchurch office, and also to the amazing Convention Centre where our client function was held, and everything else is nearby or an easy drive being on the main arterial routes. Also right next to the very impressive new library right next door which has an excellent and very popular cafe for breakfast, or coffee meetings etc.

The location can't get any better than Novotel Christchurch Cathedral Square. It is right beside the cathedral with an awesome view of the city. Love that the library is also right beside the hotel. Food places and tourists attractions are just a short walk away. Even without a car, you can explore via the tram. The hotel itself was lovely. Very tidy, comfy beds. Huge pillows. While the bathroom was a tad small, I like the the sink is outside -- haven't seen that in other hotels. I also like that they have sustainability initiatives going on -- the keycard was made of wood as were the door signage. We stayed comfortably for 3 nights.
