This was probably the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in. The staff were super great, the beds were comfortable, and the free breakfast was fantastic. Paid $45ish Canadian for a double bed in a 10 bed dorm. Room mates were all very quiet and respectful. 5-10 minute walk to train station and bustling night market.

amazing value for money. the best dorm type accommodation i have ever stayed in by FAR. large cubicle with a double bed for 1pax, sufficient locker spaces, friendly international staff, comfortable, clean, nice common area, laundry room, and comes with a pretty decent breakfast buffet. 5min walk to raohe night market, and a very self-sufficient neighbourhood with a 7-11 just across the road, as well as cafes, bars, and eateries nearby. not the most central location BUT honestly at this standard it is hardly a drawback.

price is very affordable. Shared bathroom is properly managed and cleaned. Good quality bedding. would rebook. Recommend all backpackers to stay. safe place for solo female travellers.

Cosy hostel! Hope to be back. Rooms, shared toilets / bathroom, common space were clean, spacious and well maintained. Breakfast was simple but nice spread of local hot food, bread and salad. Staff were friendly and very helpful with getting around. Convenient to get to raohe night market.

If you are a backpacker this is a good place to stay at due to its phenomenal price-value-ratio. Location: a bit of walking distance from both MRT stations it sits in between. 10 minutes only but adds up after a long day of sightseeing. Also, not the poshest area of Taipei. Some sketchy places in the surrounding area but totally safe to walk around at night. Big plus: Rahoe Night Market, Rainbow Bridge and a stunning temple are just around the corner. Staff: Friendly upon check-in and check-out but not much communication or service in between. A simple good morning, for example, would be nice ? Rooms: Facilities are a bit old but clean and provide everything you need. Small lockers only though, so you have to store your big luggage outside and the dorm becomes messy. Also, toilets are separate from showers and you have to walk past the reception to use them. A bit inconvenient at night and in the early morning. Breakfast: I loved it! You get to try local food like congee, braised dishes, radish cakes and dumplings there. Plus classic peanut butter and jelly toast, good coffee and tea. Lots of options for vegetarians. You can hang out there even before the official breakfast time at 7.30, have some coffee and a slow start of the day.
