I recently stayed at Lavalse Hotel in Busan and while the location is great and the views are absolutely stunning, there were several maintenance and service issues that left me disappointed.

Firstly, the kettle situation was quite concerning — the power cord is only a few centimeters long and the PowerPoint is awkwardly located under the table. This makes boiling water dangerous, as it can easily tip over and cause burns. Safety clearly wasn’t considered in that setup. The table in the room was also wobbly and unstable, which didn’t help.

There’s no room service, and despite the room being booked for two people, we were only given one towel. When we requested another, it took hours to arrive. Basic amenities like tea weren’t provided either, which was surprising for a hotel of this standard. The sauna also comes at an extra cost, which I feel should be included or at least clearly communicated beforehand.

Overall, while the views and location were lovely, the lack of attention to guest comfort and safety left me with mixed emotions. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

When I wanted to order food off an app, I asked one of the receptionists for help. His answer was „Sorry, we can‘t help you with that.“ His coworker noticed the situation and kindly provided us with help. One of the other ladies at the reception was just as rude as the first receptionist. It is just blatant rudeness you’ll encounter here.

However, I did like the size and view of the room (1103) even though it hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly. There was dirt everywhere and the windows had probably never seen proper cleaning up to this day.

The location is far from Haeundae (30 min. drive on a Sunday evening) but close to Huinnyeoul.

A Complete Nightmare – NEVER AGAIN!
I’ve traveled extensively, but I rarely encounter something this unacceptable. We checked into Lavalse Hotel in Busan and found a cockroach in our room. When I reported it, the front desk staff admitted that this is a known issue in the hotel – which means they are aware of an infestation problem and still rent out affected rooms. Absolutely shocking.

Initially, we were told no other rooms were available and that we would have to sleep in the infested room – even though we were traveling with our 4-year-old child. After 30 minutes of back-and-forth, suddenly a room was available. By then, it was 1:00 AM, and our exhausted child still hadn’t been able to sleep. Unacceptable.

To make matters worse, we were promised an upgrade due to the situation. But the next morning, we realized the “upgrade” was nothing more than the exact same room type, just on a different floor. No added value, no improvement – just an empty promise to quiet us down.

As an influencer, I had specifically requested a clean room in advance because I document my travels – and this experience was the complete opposite of what was promised.
Health hazard, poor service, and dishonest communication.
Cockroaches can crawl into luggage and be brought home – a disgusting and serious risk.

Bottom line: Stay away from Lavalse Hotel! If you care about hygiene, honesty, and professional service, this is not the place for you.
Not just a bad experience – this is a serious warning to future guests.
