This hotel is truly wonderful, boasting an excellent location. The front desk and housekeeping staff were exceptionally friendly, and the breakfast experience was delightful, though the dining area felt slightly compact due to the high number of guests. The only drawback was the laundry facility, particularly the dryers. To efficiently dry 6 kg of clothing, I used two separate machines, running each for 80 minutes plus an additional 90 minutes—a total of 170 minutes. Despite the hotel’s rate of 100 yen per 10 minutes, the clothes remained damp. On a previous occasion, I spent 2,000 yen with a similar result. Ultimately, I found myself carrying wet laundry to an external laundromat early in the morning around 7 AM to ensure they were properly dried. I sincerely hope the hotel management will take this matter into consideration by regularly maintaining or upgrading the machines to enhance guests’ convenience. That being said, this minor inconvenience does not overshadow the hotel’s overall excellence. For those who do not require laundry services, this remains a highly recommended place to stay. Attached are photos documenting my payments for the dryers. Having personally experienced the issue, I must note that the drying costs are rather steep—even by U.S. standards—yet the machines failed to deliver effective results, likely due to insufficient power.
Giving it 5 stars for the location and convenience as it is right in front of Kyoto station. We were three and got a triple room. Room is more spacious and single beds were bigger than where we stayed in Tokyo before but still not enough to open three suitcases if ever each of us brought one. It’s a good thing we decided to use just one suitcase and left it at our base hotel in Osaka. Receptionist were welcoming during check in and provided us with umbrellas on the day it rained. Amenities were provided including sleepwear in the room and a communal self service area for other toiletries, instant coffee, and tea. There’s also a welcome drink from 3p-10p but we werent able to avail of it.
Very nice place to stay! Thank you for everything ! Friendly staff, good breakfast that was included in our room! Check in and check out process was smooth! Room service was completed every day! Thank you! We will be back! Located close to a 7/11 and the Kyoto train station!
im happy to stay here, best location just right in front of Kyoto station, room clean, no problem. Even something happened of my laundry and breakfast buffet, im still ok with this hotel, But i will not recommend: 1) the laundry machine. Washer tiny like normal Japan hotel style, 600yen/wash just too expensive for 2 jeans and 2 tees, because it’s a tiny washer, you can’t full fill it maybe 1/3. The washer with weird smell. Dryer, 100yen/10mins that crazy but i need to wash my clothes so i have no choice, i paid 500yen for 50mins, my 2 tees and 2 jeans not dry, ok so i paid another 200yen for 20mins, still not fully dry, so 700yen/70mins wasted *i paid 300yen/load at Osaka hotel included wash and dry done in 2 hours without problem, just don’t use the laundry in this hotel 2) breakfast, overpriced, you can have better breakfast anywhere with that price, i understand all the staffs in the buffet just do their job, they may following you, clean the things what you just touched?
Great location and great size rooms for Japan. Right across the road from Kyoto station and a 5 minute walk from a big Mall and Don Quijote. Free amenities is a bonus. Signage in the hotel states there’s a coin operated laundry room but when you get to it, it is card payment only. Not contactless or coin operated laundry room so have you card details ready.
