This hotel is USA friendly! Outlets, amenities, etc are all what one would expect coming from the states. It was comfortable, quiet, and clean with very friendly and helpful staff. We got drink vouchers, free coffee/tea, a bottle of water every day per person, and they have laundry service (has a fee), but we didn’t use it. We had an incident where an expensive necklace went down the sink drain. The staff was extremely helpful and called a plumber for us to get it out for free! We had to leave kyoto the next day so we were worried we wouldn’t get it in time. The staff worked out many different options and they were very accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel!

One of the best hotels we have stayed so far. The staff are friendly, the rooms, the beds, linen and a fantastic breakfast. They also have a bar where you can relax after a long day of walk. The location is very close and central to all attractions. I will come back and stay here again.

This hotel is located in great location, near a lot of food places, restaurants, and shops. For going to other tourist spots, bus stops and a subway station are also close and accessible. The room was great, the most spacious one we had during our Japan visit. Hotel staff are kind and ready to help. We went on April and weather was a little chilly so it wasn't needed but the room doesn't have AC, only a small fan. There is some noise coming from the street at night. There are several bars in the area and there's always someone more than tipsy causing the issue. I don't mind cause I wear ear plugs to sleep but this could be an issue if you're more sensitive to loud noises. The other thing I don't recommend is leaving your bathroom window open, we came back to smoke smell from the restaurants in the area.

Stayed in Hotel Aru and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend this for its location. It is near restaurants, shops, train stations and a Catholic church. Booked a room with a king sized bed. It was comfortable but was not contented with the pillows provided so we requested for additional pillows and they delivered fast. Room temp can be controlled. There’s free wifi. The room was fair in size and was 97% clean—I had to wipe some thin dust around. The bathroom was clean too. For those bringing a car, the staff will give a map where you can park your vehicle. Staff are welcoming and attended to what we needed.
