We enjoyed their delicious tacos, including fried fish and pork carnitas (our favourite). The nachos were great, as well, with a cheesy, spicy sauce. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, like an izakaya. Fun vibe. Felt at home immediately.
Incredible food, everything was made fresh in front of you. The bar tender was fluent in English and was excellent. The chef made some of the best tacos I have ever had.
Very good and attentive service, as with all places in Japan. The bartender and helpers were so nice. Decor was pretty authentic Mexican looking, and they had some MLB memorabilia too. We got margaritas which were SO tasty. They were served in a traditional margarita glass, but not filled up all the way, LOL We also got guacamole and nachos. I’ll preface by saying we are from West coast USA so probably are used to pretty good Mexican food. The guacamole was very fresh, but needed more salt, lime, onion, jalapeño, and cilantro. The nachos were the perfect size and had a good variety of toppings. The meat seemed like ground beef, but didn’t taste like Mexican seasoned at all.
Fantastic food, frankly on par or better than what we've had in the US (East or West Coast...). The cocktails were also smooth and refreshing.
Hey do you need a taco and margarita while relaxing in the heart of kyoto? I mean you might not even know you need it. Well you do. Actually, you could probably use a handful of them after that long day you have had. After all, you deserve it. Oh and get margarita.
