I highly recommend!! We stayed there one night before going on morning safari, and it was one of our greatest experience in Sri Lanka yet. Our host was so sweet, gave us so much information on everything, knew so much about nature and the animals, it really was great. The rooms were comfy and clean, nothing to add. Thank you for everything!!

At first, we were a bit hesitant since the place wasn’t listed on Hostelworld, but once we arrived, everything went smoothly. The owner was incredibly welcoming and even woke up at 4 AM to prepare breakfast for us as we were fasting. The food was delicious, and the safari tour he offered was very affordable at just $40, especially compared to other places. However, there isn’t much to do in the city, and the safari ends by noon.

I highly recommend Green Heaven Safari Resort. It’s a wonderful place to stay, with a brilliant host, Darshana, who made the experience exceptional. The breakfast was delicious, and the safari was a standout highlight of my trip to Sri Lanka. Plus, it was the most affordable option I came across.

The host was so friendly and welcoming. Included in the price was a pickup from the Udawalawa junction bus stop (even arriving late at 20:30), and upon arrival I was upgraded to a double room with en-suite for no extra cost! The host had lots of local knowledge and was happy to answer any questions. Location was great, only 10/15 mins from the national park. I did the Safari in the morning which was incredible!! The breakfast after the Safari was pretty good and super convenient. I extended my booking for another night as it was such a nice stay Only thing was the cockroaches in the bathroom, but given the location I kind of expected to find a few bugs

Lovely home in a beautiful town near Udawalawa National Park. Perfect place to stay before and after your safari day. Our hosts were amazing and so generous. Very experienced in the tourism industry in Sri Lanka, so they offer the best insight and advice on your travels. Delicious home cooked food available as well.
