Clean, awesome location! Everything was adequate for a well-priced room. Loved the smell of the body wash and toiletries, but sadly no body lotion included. Not enough drawer storage and not enough hangers to compensate. We had to fold up old clothes and place them on top of our luggage. Wifi connection would disconnect several times or lose service.
Everything about this hotel is fantastic. First I’d like to point out that the manager made us feel extra welcome, check-in was very casual and easy, and he helped my family and I get sorted, with heaps of restaurant and sightseeing advice. So he gave a great first impression. I wish I had gotten his name down, but look for the Asian gentleman and treat him well. Second the hotel’s rooms are spacious, the wifi is good, and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom was very nice as well. The location is perfect. I don’t know how you could be better situated, as you’re adjacent to all the restaurants, with a Starbucks, KFC, and a boba tea all within meters of the entrance. The building itself is very cool-looking, although you may pass by the entrance if you aren’t paying attention at first. The entrance looks a bit like a hostel when you first arrive and there may be a row of luggage when you first arrive, but those go away when people return to grab them for their flights home. We pop down to Christchurch every year for the Electric Avenue festival and try a new hotel every year. And we’ve had some good hotels, but I like CCH so much I may just return to this one next year.
Excellent location across from the cathedral square and city center. Clean and efficient rooms for short stays. Restaurant upstairs for breakfast 7 days. However, not open daily for dinner. Tu-Sat. No laundry facilities on site. Parking is also off site and discounted pay rate. Would highly recommended for short stays. Christchurch is a beautiful city to visit.
Was actually a very nice and clean room! We really enjoyed our stay and it’s in the ideal location for some downtown shopping. Also a nice large variety of teas!
We’ve stayed two nights and everything is ok. The most impressive is the fancy rooftop restaurant, though the breakfast is quite simple, the staff (girl) is very friendly and offering us lots information for our next stop -lake Tekapo. The room decoration is simple, but the shower is great. The drain hole of the sink is very unobstructed ,Which are really important to us.
