Amazing Indian cuisine! The flavors are bold, authentic, and pack a real punch—definitely on the spicier side, so come prepared. The open samosa was a standout for me—so creative and absolutely delicious, easily my favorite dish on the menu. The service was attentive and kind, adding to the overall experience. However, the restaurant could use better ventilation as it felt a bit stuffy during our visit. The self-service water station is convenient, but it would be even better if cold water was served directly to the tables. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with incredible food that’s worth a visit.
Incredible food and service, and amazing vibes all round! I really loved the creative cocktails! I tried the Bombay Colada and the Kuchumber Cooler. So yum!! The spice level was great and such bold flavours! All our love from Australia - we will definitely come by when we visit again!
Mumbai Wala is an absolute gem in Christchurch! The food is bursting with authentic Indian flavors, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. The warm, inviting atmosphere makes it ideal for a relaxed meal, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. A must-visit spot if you're in the city and craving top-notch Indian cuisine!
I had been to Mumbaiwala christchurch few days back I intentionally went there to try Indian fast food and must say as the reviews are in here it didnt disappoint us✅…. We tried cauliflower manchurian which was amazing then we tried some drinks they were good too and lastly we tried Pav Bhaji where i had mixed review as i liked it n my partner liked it partially…. So over all i liked it and also ambience is amazing ⭐️
We recently dined at Mumbaiwala in Christchurch and had a fantastic experience. We ordered the Mumbai Chicken, the Lamb Chef's Special of the Day, Kadai Chicken, Chicken Biryani, and fresh naan. Everything was full of flavour, especially the Mumbai Chicken and Kadai Chicken – both had just the right balance of spice and richness. The Lamb Chef’s Special was beautifully cooked and tender. The naan was soft and perfect for soaking up the sauces. The only slight letdown was the Chicken Biryani – it was decent but didn’t quite stand out compared to the other dishes. Service was friendly and prompt, and the ambiance was vibrant and inviting. Definitely a great place for authentic Indian food in the heart of Christchurch. Looking forward to our next visit!
