Persiaran Pantai, Desaru Coast, 81930 Bandar Penawar, Johor, Malaysia
Great adventures place for kids and adults. No out side foods allowed. We went in 25th December, so as expected crowded. Still kids playing area is ok. We skipped the big rides because of the very very big queue. Lunch at Hard Rock Cafe maintained restaurant beside the wave pool, I forgot the name ?. One meal around RM 26. Locker RM20, after entering go left to find this locker (pic attached) other locker is too costly. Onsite ticket is also available no need to buy earlier. If you buy earlier also need to queue up for collection of the physical tickets or wristbands ?.
Desaru Waterpark is a spacious and expansive theme park with plenty to explore, making it an ideal destination for family outings and group adventures. The highlight for us was the artificial beach—it's a nice touch, though the wave pool could be improved by adjusting the frequency of the waves to enhance the experience. However, there are a few areas that need attention. Firstly, the food situation was disappointing. Food sold out quickly, leaving us hungry and frustrated. Given that outside food isn’t allowed, the park management should plan better by preparing meals based on the number of tickets sold. Secondly, the shower facilities were inadequate. With only two shower units per location, the long queues were inconvenient and unpleasant, especially after a full day of activities. A larger investment in this area would significantly improve visitor satisfaction. Desaru Waterpark has great potential, but addressing these two key areas and benchmarking against more established waterparks could take it to the next level.
Overall, it was really fun and enjoyable! This place is definitely kid-friendly as most of the rides are suitable for children to enjoy. A big 5-star shoutout to the lifeguard security team here—you guys did an amazing job, especially in the kids’ area and wave area. Very strict! Kudos to them for being so responsible. The food was good too. Although it was a bit pricey, it was worth it because the portions were large. The water was clean, and the toilets and changing rooms deserve 5 stars as they were spotless and always dry.
During my four hrs visit at the park,I accidentally left my personal belongings at Desaru Waterpark. At first thoughts my stuff was gone and burnt. But luckily I tried email Desaru Guest Service team. Surprisingly they contacted me first thing in the morning at around 10a.m. which is waterpark's opening time. Big 5-star shoutout to the Suhaida(one of the guest service officer) she guided me throughout the whole lost and found progress. She even willing to help me post my stuff back to me with just RM20 given the place I live is 1 and a half hrs away from Desaru Adventure Park. Undoubtedly I had received my item perfectly as it should be. Much appreciate Suhaida for returning my stuff to me safe and sound. Also a big shout out to the lifeguard security team here—you guys did an amazing job, especially in the kids’ area and wave area. Very strict! Kudos to them for being so responsible.
