Ipoh town provides really affordable, generously portioned Malaysian meals. I ordered the chicken laksa ($16). It was a hearty meal filled with vermicelli noodles, slices of chicken, tofu puffs, and bean sprouts. The broth was really creamy. It was a good, delicious meal however, I would have liked it to be more spicy and found the soup to be quite mild. The samab/ curry paste that I added was also mild to me. There were a range of drinks that purchased with a meal, were $4. I ordered an iced kopi, which is a Malaysian sweet coffee drink. My personal preference would have liked the kopi to be a little stronger. My friend ordered the combination laksa ($18). It was generous with the additional ingredients. They had an iced lychee tea, which was $6.50. We came for a weekday lunch. The restaurant isn't too big and fills up quickly. Service was really prompt, efficient, and helpful. All staff were working very hard.
