One of a kind foodie tea experience.  We have been a couple of times and this is such a highlight of the trip.  It is not a traditional tea ceremony but a true food and tea experience- you leave feeling like you had tea for the first time - the food is individual sweets with the tea so not a meal just bites but wow - unbelievable.  Highly recommend.

I’ll give the place 2 stars because the tea quality was great, but I have to agree with most 1-star reviews that the place is overpriced. They don’t explain well how old the tea leaves are, how the brewing will be done, or provide the detailed specifics tea lovers might expect. The snacks, both in terms of quality and size, are honestly quite disappointing. I’m sorry, but they just don’t measure up.

The reservations for the experiences are strictly 90 minutes, down to the minute, which I suppose makes sense. However, as you might expect from Japanese establishments, there’s very little flexibility. For instance, ordering a tea cocktail at the end or arriving five minutes early isn’t accommodated.

Considering the place is full of foreigners (likely because there aren’t many other options for foreign visitors to book online?), I would expect the staff to be more flexible and have a better command of English..

To me, like many places these days in Japan, it felt like they’re trying too hard and losing the essence of genuine hospitality and attention to detail that used to set them apart.

Catered towards foreigners. Service did not feel very “Japanese” - staff spoke above average English but appeared distant and service felt rushed. They seemed more concerned with rushing out teas and sweets to keep dine-in time to the stipulated 90 minute limit; and could appear curt and clumsy at times.

The teas were okay. We are not tea experts and cannot comment much on the quality but we did enjoy seeing how the taste profile of tea leaves (especially the gyukoro) could transform with different brewing and preparation methods.

We cannot recommend the tea experience at this price point. Perhaps choose a more authentic and less manufactured experience
